I travel all the time (40 + weeks per year) and has been an owner of Sony in ear noise headphone for a couple of years. Finally, I would take because of the available space in my computer bag, ear fatigue from noise canceling, and feedback when it came to bow his head on a pillow on a long journey (which is not possible to do with the ear design anyway).
For several weeks I used the headphones for my Creative Zen, and while they were comfortable, did not fit well, so the music quality was poor. He also missed the active noise cancellation, and must be very high to hear the music above all.
I chose the Audio-Technica ATH headphones before ANC3 reviews on Amazon, but based my choice on revisions of their earphones with active noise cancellation headphones.
When I first got, equipped me what he thought would be appropriate and the headphones were less than impressed with the noise cancellation. I finished up the largest pieces of the ear and places all the way to my ears to make a tight seal and noise cancellation was brilliant. Get a excellent seal in both ears is the key to quality music and noise cancellation.
Sound quality is brighter than the Sony, which had been used. They are less serious than I was accustomed to hear, but I could hear the top end of music (ie, dishes, etc) in the very reasonable listening levels (1 / 2 volume or so). Compared to the ATH-ANC3, dark sound ancient phones for me.
I do not feel any ear fatigue and have had no feedback, even when you use a pillow. The case is nearly as huge as an eye glass cases, so it's no problem finding a place for it in my computer bag. Has plenty of space for phones, Airline Adapter, extra battery, and my Creative Zen. The coves where the rear seat pocket on the plane until they are paying more. Battery life is probably on the order of 40 hours or more.
The electronics module is small, but reduces the simple design of the ear. The arrangement is more convenient for me to place the MP3 player in a shirt pocket and clip the module to the top of the bag. The electronic module is heavy enough that you want to cut anything.
I took them out and compared with those in QCII Bose kiosk in the Denver airport a few weeks ago and left no feeling that there was less headphones.
Highly recommended.

I recently bought both the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC3 QuietPoint Noise-Canceling Ear Headphones and the Audio-Technica QuietPoint ATH-ANC7 active noise-canceling headphones. One for me and one for my partner. In most of the ear on a later flight 8 hours. Loved them! Sound Leakage is terrible enough, but could not hear a plane. At home, others in the room can hear the music as they can. The tone of the music is excellent! High, medium and low tones can be heard. Comfort was excellent and I found hard. My ears were hot after about 3 hours, no huge deal. I took them for a second. The noise cancellation was not wonderful, large, with sound. They are huge and it's hard to sleep on an airplane.
The nature of the ear was much better. The noice cancellation was fantastic, with or without sound. I was shattered completely. My partner had no problems in about 7 hours of use. They have also ordered a pause button to turn off the design for a moment, that is. to speak with the wizard without removing flght. FANTASTIC! Just as was once the sound quality of music. Not excellent. No half-tones. For someone like me who know what needs to be seen in a song, that failure can be a problem. For one, as my companion, who did not really care much about all the sounds of music, these were fantastic. If and when I have to buy another game, probably bought in the form of negotiation. Benefits, less weight.

I bought these for use with my trusty iPod filled with music ranging from:
* House, electro, techno (less, Trapez, Traum Records, etc.) that requires a decent bass with tight and much higher for those 808/909 sharp kicks and bass lines and tight hi hats
* New and Ancient Classic Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden Gustav Mahler:)
* Indie / Rock / Acoustic (such as eels, 1980 to bands, punk)
* Electronics Summary (Venetian Snares, Luke Vibert, AFX, Mr 76, etc – very Warp Records)
I'm also a DJ and a musician, so I have experience with different listening conditions, studio monitors, studio headphones, and my trusty Sony MDR-V700 cans of vinyl when mixed techno / house. I am also very careful with my ears with headphones and custom fitted for excellent governance at concerts and exhibitions.
I travel quite extensively what I wanted:
1. Headphones that are comfortable
2nd Brilliant noise reduction – block noise in general – people cough, children crying, people care chatting while standing near his seat on the plane, etc.
3rd Brilliant noise cancellation
4th Brilliant dynamic range of the spectrum of my listening library
5th None of the above prices
6th Excellent enough to not need extra amps for a decent dynamic range (like some of my Studio Headphones Koss)
7th No physical fatigue due to the characteristics of drivers – the "vulnerable" one of the most advanced and after 30 minutes – which oversees the economic JBL crush the middle and upper in a distorted mush. I can not stand. Since acoustic noise cancellation is a process, it is vital that this is not my Choons puree:)
8th Robustness – no worse than a cable caught and having to "tie" to get proper contact. Nooooo!
I have had quite a few different noise canceling phones in the past – Philips very early in the ears (both the two new models that I was very pleased) that it had been resolved and used for about 5 years because of the courage and most of the previous meeting . Since one of my two pairs of plastic broke – was about 5 years and is widely used, and I was not very pleased with the need to take hard for my 80G 5G iPod to get a decent level, which is also meant to introduce a bit of distortion – iPod amplifier is really not so much by the way – I chose to look at other options, including top models by Sennheiser, Bose CC range, the current Philips and Shure and Etymotic noise-canceling debts. I was willing to invest in something decent for $ 400.
Anyway, after much research and trying to get my findings were:
* Bose models were nice, but the high price of having regard to their function – especially when they did well in the cancellation of noise, this appears to be at the expense of the initial phase and really change the EQ spectrum lively. The sound was excellent, but sounded like a kind of power through flat mids, which to my music, which often tend to be somewhat "V" in EQ was a bit weird that sounds. I got the price that would have been much better.
* Sennheiser – brilliant throughout, but could not help but be too expensive (and a bit bulky)
* Philips models are the same as my age – still fully usable, but it still lacks a bit and need a bit hard to drive – but can be kept very low U.S. dollars
* Audio Technica still significantly higher than the rest of the price / sound quality / value / curve. The disadvantages are mild and similar to all other modes: Yes, as with all noise-canceling headphones as it is a process by which the acoustic sound waves of moderate size in order to reach the handset in the range say up to 1500 Hz (aircraft engine noise, the noise of the train, ) Most of the talks quickly turned and "play" on the headset to a level that actively reduces slightly to reach the eardrum – or so – not to be audible artifacts and changes in the spectrum of EQ / phase, and so on.
But, was in much nicer in this respect. Couple this with the yolks of gorgeous noise insulation of the rubber (the maximum benefit to drown out the noise and make the slot nicely into the ear canal), click on "NC on the button" is pure joy. One thing I took notes if they are connected to something and use them, they "hear" noise cancellation process – but this is removed when the music is made or if it is still a bit noisy environment (eg, bar, cafe, restaurant, shop).
So, finished up buying both the headset on this list because they are so compact and highly efficient to make my own silence or music fills the world of trains and airplanes, and over the ears – ATH ANC7's. These are very comfortable if a bit more compact ear and has brilliant performance and – wires and in Nice – detachable cable and a excellent question, which also happens to fit into my iPod, too.
Payment of $ 99 for the ear of the Amazon through one of the sellers and $ 127 for the ears. There are two really excellent headphones for less than the Bose or Sennheiser who were putting the land in the price.
So that I can come to my studio and the DJ can return to them and their music made my iPod and listen to others' experiences (eg, flat film systems) really very nice. You can also use to sleep on the plane or train noise – effectively, one must be careful to ensure that it is not lost, because the ads on their stops. If you push came from the truth, I reckon I could easily use their ears for a small impromptu DJ'ing if I had to – in fact much in this respect, and that works perfectly without the engine – unlike some others. So both will be used when the batteries are dead, too.
