Frequency response specs are useless to us when they dont give the volumes at which these frequencies are produced.
And the average human ear cant hear over 18,000hz anyway so the extra 10K is useless too.

Im currently looking to replace my v700s, which fell apart on me, if you really must have them people, look for cracks on the inner side of the rotating part that connects to the cups.
If you see a crack glue it asap, or it will eventually break completely!

whether theyre worth it, that would depend on how much cash you make, and how interested you are in music … before buying something around that price, i’d definately want a listen beforehand, and test others in the same priceclass. audio has alot to do with preferences too

as far as i know (judging from hd 555) the surround sound in the HD series could be better – sharper – which is something that people sees as pretty vital in gaming headsets. it might focus on just the right sounds (foot steps and such, instead of blowing your ears off with bass from explosions). other than that it has no mic, but ofc you get much more for (continued

(continued) your moneys by sacrificing your mic(alternatively buying a standalone mic). but no, usually youre better off with something cheaper if its just for gaming. afaik these do best with a stereo and an amp to go with. much cheaper hd 555 do really well with games and sound swell too.
but overall it will probably to really well with gaming, as it will with movies and music, but i just reckon its a waste if its just for gaming needs
